The Male Room Challenge #93 – Photography & Cameras

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the Photography & Cameras challenge at The Male Room.

Here is my creation…

My father-in-law loves taking family videos and bird watching and we all love watching the pictures and videos he took so that we all joined his road trip for bird watching. I took a photo of my family in Yi-Lan where we went bird watching.

After printing the picture above and making it into a card, I thought I should make a card for my father-in-law. I could not describe how awesome my father-in-law is in words, but I am thankful that he is my hubby’s dad!

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #287 – Sketch

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card for the new sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our weekly hostess, Karen, has come up with a fun sketch to inspire you. (tap the sketch figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Die cut a rectangle from Sour Apple card stock.
  3. Die cut a rectangle frame from white card stock.
  4. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  5. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark on black card stock, white embossed and die cut.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces to card base with double sided tape.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #286 – Colours

Hello there!

It’s the third Tuesday of August , we are having a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our weekly hostess, Fiona, has come up some beautiful colors to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Die cut a rectangle from Pineapple card stock.
  3. Die cut a rectangle from white card stock. Die cut a sunshine shaker window.
  4. Stamp, color and die cut the beach girl. Here are the Copics I’ve used. Hat: R08, R05, R22; Shirt: C03,C01, C0, C00, R59, R39, R29 ; Shorts & Sandles : R59, R39, R29; Bag: Y38, Y18, Y15, Y13, R39.
  5. Layer all the pieces mentioned above with foam tape and double sided tape on card base.

Cards In Envy – Yellow & Black Challenge

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card for the Yellow & Black challenge at Cards In Envy.

Here is my creation…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock. Blend black shoot distress ink along the four sides.
  2. Die cut a circle from mask paper.
  3. Trim a piece of watercolor paper to 4″ x 5.25″. Adhere the masking circle to the top portion.
  4. Create the night scene with distress inks. Peel off the masking circle and blend mustard seed distress ink as the moon. Add some dots with a white jelly pen.
  5. Die cut birch trees from black card stock.
  6. Stamp, color and die cut the ninjas.
  7. Die cut a rectangle frame from white card stock.
  8. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim two strips from black paper.
  3. Trim a piece of white card stock to 4″ x 5.25″.
  4. Stencil the circles with Distress inks.
  5. Stamp the sentiment with black ink.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces to card base with double sided tape.

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create an A2 card base from kraft card stock.
  2. Trim a piece of white card stock to A2 card size. Die cut a rectangle peek-a-boo window.
  3. Stamp, color and die cut the scarecrow. Here are the Copics I’ve used. Hat: E09, E19, E17; Shirt: YG99, YG97, YG95; Pants: B16, B14, B04.
  4. Layer all the pieces mentioned above with foam tape and double sided tape on card base.

Cards in Envy – Something New

Hello there!

Yay! I have great news to share with you that I am joining in the design team at Cards in Envy. I am looking forward to creating projects with these amazing ladies in the CIE DT.

The first the challenge I’ve created for CIE is Something New and it looks like a great sign to me. I’ve thought of several projects and I decided to create a card for a baby girl with a new stamp set and a new tag die.

Here is how I’ve created…

  1. Create an A2 card base from Bubblegum card stock.
  2. Die cut the scallop cross-stitch tag from white card stock. Embellish with ribbon and a piece of twine.
  3. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  4. Stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark on black card stock and white embossed. Die cut the sentiment.
  5. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.
  6. Add some Nuvo Crystal drops around the tag.
