CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #255

Hello there!

Since it’s the third week of the month, we are having a colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

This week our hostess, Beverley, has come up with the wonderful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I used the color combination…

  1. Mask paper was applied on A2 card base for stenciling the background.
  2. The sun ray was stenciled with Distress Tumble Glass ink with mini ink blending tool.
  3. The sentiment was stamped with black ink at the bottom of the stenciled sun ray.
  4. The hot air balloon was colored with Copic markers & die cut.
  5. The image wad adhered with foam tapes over the stenciled background.

Thank you for spending some time with me.

I hope you can head on over to the CC&S blog to enter the challenges and to see more inspiration from the awesome Design Team.

Less is More Colour Challenge #362 Purples

Hello there!

It’s been a great honor to be a guest designer at Less is More. This week, we invited you to join the colour challenge at Less is More.

Today, I am sharing a birthday card for the very first guest designer’s post and also for my little girl, Amanda.

She is so skinny but very energetic. She loves reading and taking part in all kinds of activities. She is a well-behaved girl and also has a sense of humor. For me, she is just like a super girl.

Since color of the year 2018 is Ultra Violet , I created a birthday card with the color.

  1. Masking paper was applied on A2 card base for stenciling the background.
  2. The sun ray was stenciled with wilted violet Distress Oxide ink.
  3. The sentiment was stamped with black ink at the bottom of the stenciled sun ray.
  4. The super girl was colored with Copic markers and was die cut.
  5. The first letter of Amanda, A, was die cut from yellow card stock and was adhered on the costume.
  6. The super girl was adhered with foam tapes over the stenciled background.

Thank you for spending some time with me! Thank you Less is More for offering me this amazing opportunity to be a guest here!

I hope you can head on over to the Less is More blog to enter the challenge and to see more inspiration from the awesome Design Team.

    Happy 2018

    Hello there!

I was busy preparing a card-making class for fifty teenagers on this weekend. Since they don’t have any crafty tools like cutting machines or stamps, I have to precut a bunch of pieces of card stock and pre-make a sample card for them.

Today I am sharing a New Year’s card for the class with you.

    1. A Wonky Stitched Rectangle was die cut from white card stock and was embossed with an embossing folder as the front panel.
    2. Gold watercolor paint was splashedwith a pen brush on the front panel.
    3. The balloons were die cut from watercolor paper.
    4. Distress Oxide inks were applied on the balloons with mini blending tools.
    5. The numbers “2018” were die cut from gold sparkle card stock.
    6. All the pieces were layered on A2 card base with double sided tapes and foam tapes.
