CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #296 – The Double

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our weekly hostess, Karen & Patricia, have come up with a fun sketch and beautiful colours to inspire me. (tap the sketch figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim a rectangle to A2 size from blue card stock.
  3. Die cut a rectangle from white cardstock.
  4. Die cut a smaller rectangle from white card stock.
    Die cut the snowfall partially.
  5. Die cut snow drifts from white card stock.
  6. Die cut the tree from green card stock.
  7. Trim a strip from gold shine card stock.
  8. Assemble the felt poinsettia and leaves with a brad.
  9. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

The Male Room Challenge #97 – Tools

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the Tools challenge at The Male Room.

I decided to create a card for my hubby teaches Physics at high school. He loves wearing jeans with a shirt and he always put his pens and notes on the pockets. I guess they are kind of tools for his job.

Here is my creation…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Die cut a rectangle and a pocket from white card stock.
    Stamp Denim background with faded jeans distress ink on the both and blend with mini ink blending tool.
  3. Draw the stitched lines on the pocket with a gold jelly pen.
  4. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  5. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark on red card stock and white embossed and trim it to a label.
    Draw the string with a white jelly pen.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

CAS Colours and Sketches #295 – Sketch

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the new sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our weekly hostess, Beverley, has come up with a fun sketch to inspire me. (tap the sketch figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim a rectangle to A2 size from gray card stock.
    Decorate with strips trimmed from gold shine card stock.
  3. Die cut a rectangle from blue card stock.
    Stamp the tree with VersaMark and gold embossed.
  4. Die cut the word “joy" from red card stock.
  5. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

Guesting at Inkspiration – Use Vellum

Hello there!

I am thrilled to be guest designing at Inkspirational Challenges for the challenge “Use Vellum".

The theme, vellum, is kind of tricky for me. After a long term consideration, I decided to create a scene looks blurry through the vellum paper because of my presbyopic problem.

Here is my creation…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim a rectangle from watercolor paper to 4″ × 5.25″ as the front panel. Apply spiced marmalade & squeezed lemonade distress inks with mini ink blending tool for the background.
  3. Die cut the rolling hill from watercolor paper. Blend fossiled amber distress ink on the hill and brushed corduroy distress ink on the fence.
  4. Die cut a grassy hill from watercolor paper and blend mustard seed distress ink.
  5. Die cut the tree trunks from brown card stock.
  6. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  7. Trim a rectangle from vellum paper to 4″ × 5.25″. Die cut the glasses.
  8. Die cut the glasses frame from brown card stock.
  9. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and glue dots.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #294 – Colours

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our weekly hostess, Patricia, has come up with some beautiful colors to inspire me. (tap the color combo figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve used the colors…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Die cut a nod rectangle from white card stock. Apply tattered rose distress ink with mini ink blending tool.
  3. Die cut a smaller mod rectangle and snow drift from white card stock.
  4. Stamp, color and die cut the reindeer.
    Here are the Copics I’ve used.
    E47, E57, E23, RV17, RV06, RV04, R20 and R21.
  5. Layer and adhere all the pieces to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

Cards In Envy – Favorite Holiday

Today I am sharing a card created for the Favorite Holiday challenge at Cards In Envy.

Here is my creation…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim a piece of white card stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ as the front panel.
    Stamp tiny flakes background with VersaMark and white embossed.
    Apply chipped sapphire & salty ocean distress inks with mini ink blending tool. Stencil radiating rays with white Pigment ink.
  3. Die cut snow drifts from white card stock.
  4. Die cut winter tress from white card stock and apply Distress inks.
  5. Stamp, color and die cut the snowman.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

  2. Trim two strips from kraft card stock into 0.75″ x 5.5″.
  3. Die cut grassy hill from green card stock.
  4. Die cut mountain range from gray card stock.
  5. Stamp, color and die cut the dinosaurs.
    Here are the Copics I’ve used.
    blue dinosaur: BG15, BG13, BG34, BG32.
    green dinosaur: YG99, YG97, YG95, YG93.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.

Cards In Envy – Something Spooky

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the Something Spooky challenge at Cards In Envy.

Here is my creation…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock.
  2. Trim a piece of white card stock to 4″ x 5.25″ as the front panel. Apply seedless preserves, wilted violet, victorian velvet & milled lavender distress inks with mini ink blending tools. Stamp bats and splashed patterns with black ink.
  3. Die cut spooky house, tree, grassy hills and rectangle scallop frame from black card stock.
  4. Die cut the window of spooky house from yellow card stock.
  5. Stamp, color and die cut the vampire.
  6. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.
