CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #255

Hello there!

Since it’s the third week of the month, we are having a colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

This week our hostess, Beverley, has come up with the wonderful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I used the color combination…

  1. Mask paper was applied on A2 card base for stenciling the background.
  2. The sun ray was stenciled with Distress Tumble Glass ink with mini ink blending tool.
  3. The sentiment was stamped with black ink at the bottom of the stenciled sun ray.
  4. The hot air balloon was colored with Copic markers & die cut.
  5. The image wad adhered with foam tapes over the stenciled background.

Thank you for spending some time with me.

I hope you can head on over to the CC&S blog to enter the challenges and to see more inspiration from the awesome Design Team.

  3. The front panel was cut with Stitched Basic Edge.

  5. The band-aid was die cut from Kraft card stock and was adhered over the gap.
  6. The doodle eyes were adhered on the band-aid.

Actually, I created the second one with this Sketch. Which one do you prefer?

CAS Colours & Sketches #253

Hello, crafty friends!

I am so honored that I will join the awesome Design Team at CAS Colours & Sketches in January 2018.

This week at CC&S, we invite you to choose a sketch from all the ones in 2017 (past sketches in 2017) and make it seasonal for the upcoming holiday season.

I used the sketch #235 in August which was the very first sketch challenge I took at CC&S.

Here is the X’mas card I’ve created with the sketch.

  1. A piece of mask paper was used for creating a partial circular space on blue card stock.
  2. The snowfall background was stenciled with White Pigment ink.
  3. The birch trees were die cut from white card stock & were adhered with foam tapes & double sided tapes on the stenciled space.
  4. The bird house was die cut from Kraft card stock which was stamped with wood plank background in Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.
  5. A string was tied and adhered on the back of the bird house.
  6. The bird house was hang on the birch tree.
  7. The Robins were colored with Copic markers and were die cut.
  8. A scallop circle frame was adhered to frame the scene.

I hope you can head on over to the CAS Colours & Sketches blog to enter the challenge and to see more inspiration from the fabulous Design Team.

Decorate Your Holidays with Happiness

Hello there !

Today I am sharing a X’mas card with non-traditional color combo.

I reused CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #245 in Oct. 2017 to creat this card.

The decorations were stamped with Hero Arts Navy Blue ink and Distress Oxide inks – Twisted Citron and Ababdoned Coral.

I drew the lines over the decorations with a silver pen.

The sentiment was stamped with black ink on A2 card base.
