Baby Greeting Card

My best friend when we studied at the university is becoming a mom of three. I am so happy for her and decided to make a card for celebrating her new born baby boy.

I stamped Denim Background with Distress Oxide faded jeans Ink on A2 card base and white card stock, then died cut the overalls with Bundles of Baby Clothes Die-namics.

I died cut different size of the scallop circle frames five times, stuck them together to add dimensions. I also decorated it with Nuvo glitter drops.

I discovered some similar clothes to the card I created, and I got them as a gift for my girl friend.

Hope she will love it.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #237

I followed the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches to creat a triple windows card.

I died cut the windows on white card stock with My Favorite Things Stitched Triple peek-a-boo Windows as a panel.

I stamped these flowers & leaves on white card stock, colored with Copic Markers and died cut with the coordinating dies.

I adhered some  foam tapes on the back of the panel and stuck it on A2 card base. Then settled these flowers in the windows.

Hope you enjoy it !

Single Layer Card with Masking

After watching the tutorial video form Jennifer Mcquire, I decided to try this awesome making technique.

I stamped the flower from My Favorite Things Fancy Flowers on white card stock & colored with Copic Markets.

The sentiment under the flower was stamped twice, the first with black ink and the second with VersaMark, then clear heat embossed.

I created a circular mask and a mask for the flower with the coordinating die. I used Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to creat the blended background. Since the coordinating die is a bit bigger than the stamped image, the mask leaves a white border around the stamping.

I have to say I don’t like the fuzzy cutting, so I seldom creating cards with masking techniques. Creating a  mask with the coordinating die is really a nice & eady way.

I join some challenges with this card:

Happy Birthday Centerpieces Inlaid Card

I stenciled several balloons with Ranger Distress Oxide Inks on white card stock. It was cut with the biggest one of Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax as a panel.

I  put Happy Birthday Centerpieces on the center of the panel, ran it through Sizzix Big Shot, and stuck all the pieces on GLAD Press’n Seal.

I died cut Happy Birthday Centerpieces from another card stocks three times and layered them in the open panel spaces. On the top, I glued the stenciled balloon pieces that was cut first.

It took me hours to finish this inlaid card, but I really enjoyed the process.

This is for some challenges:

First Blog Post Here

I started my blog for card challenges last year. But there were several restrictions for the DT of card challenges to comment my post. So I stopped posting at the blog and joined the challenges by IG.

Posting an article about card making in English maybe more difficult than making a card for me. I just want to give it a try for my favorite card making since I seldom met crafty friends in my country, and I really appreciate all the crafty friends overseas. I will share all the cards I made and all the card challenges I joined here, hope you will enjoy it!
