Cards in Envy – Something New

Hello there!

Yay! I have great news to share with you that I am joining in the design team at Cards in Envy. I am looking forward to creating projects with these amazing ladies in the CIE DT.

The first the challenge I’ve created for CIE is Something New and it looks like a great sign to me. I’ve thought of several projects and I decided to create a card for a baby girl with a new stamp set and a new tag die.

Here is how I’ve created…

  1. Create an A2 card base from Bubblegum card stock.
  2. Die cut the scallop cross-stitch tag from white card stock. Embellish with ribbon and a piece of twine.
  3. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  4. Stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark on black card stock and white embossed. Die cut the sentiment.
  5. Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.
  6. Add some Nuvo Crystal drops around the tag.

Thank you for spending some time with me.

I hope you can head on over Cards in Envy blog to enter the challenge and to see more inspiration from the awesome Design Team.

Supplies:

My Favorite Things Hello, Little One; Scallop Criss-Stitch Tag; Slanted Sentiment Strips

I Can’t Wait to See You…

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card following the sketch from My Favorite Things. (Please tap the figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve been inspired…

I created the card for a baby boy whose mom was my student thirteen years ago and we’ve keep in touch with each other for years. Time flies away…I feel like I am a grandmom. I am so happy for her that she’ve met a nice man as her husband and the baby boy completes their life.

It’s for the entry of

Baby Greeting Card

My best friend when we studied at the university is becoming a mom of three. I am so happy for her and decided to make a card for celebrating her new born baby boy.

I stamped Denim Background with Distress Oxide faded jeans Ink on A2 card base and white card stock, then died cut the overalls with Bundles of Baby Clothes Die-namics.

I died cut different size of the scallop circle frames five times, stuck them together to add dimensions. I also decorated it with Nuvo glitter drops.

I discovered some similar clothes to the card I created, and I got them as a gift for my girl friend.

Hope she will love it.
