The Male Room Challenge #113 – Cooking & Baking

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card for the new challenge at The Male Room.

I have few stamp sets about cooking or baking, I decided to use them on one card. And here is my creation…

To start off, I colored the stamped images with Copic markers, cut the bear out with the coordinating die and fussy cut the oven with a pair of scissors. I stamped the tiny images with Versa Mark on Steel Gray card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powders. Trim the gray card stock to 4″ x 5.25″. Stamp the sentiment with black ink on red card stock and die cut the sentiment strip. Adhere the colored imges and sentiment strip to the front panel. To finish my card, adhere the front panel to A2 card base with foam tape.

Hope you enjoy what I have come up today.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #325 – Sketch

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for the new sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our monthly hostess, Yoon Young , has come up with a wonderful sketch . (tap the sketch figure below for the details)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

To start off, I masked the top and the bottom portion of the front panel with masking tape, stenciled the beach using the Drifts and Hills Stencil and blended the ocean  along with Distress Oxide Inks. I added splatters of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink on the beach and spritzed the panel with a Distress Sprayer to create texture. I also created the spindrift with a white jelly pen. Then peeled off the masking tape, I stenciled sunray with squeezed lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. For the characters, I colored the stamped images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Here is a list shows what colous I’ve used for this card:

Hello there!

Today I have exciting news to shout out! I am joining in the Design Team at AAA Birthday Card Challenges. And I am looking forward to creating birthday projects with these amazing ladies on the team.

AAA Birthday is a monthly challenge for birthday cards. And this month we have the theme – Use Water Colours for you to play along with us.

Here is my contribution for my very first DT project at AAA Birthday:

To start off, I stamped the sunflowers and leaves on watercolor paper with Versa Mark and white embossed. I painted the images with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, splattered gold paint with a brush and stamped the sentiment with black ink. To finish it, I die cut the panel with a stitched wonky rectangle and adhered it to A2 card base with foam tape.

Lots of Flowers

I seldom created cards with florals which I don’t feel comfortable with. For stretching more styles and techniques, I should step out of my comfort zone.

Here is my first creation…

It’s my very first floral stamp set from Hero Arts and I decided to make a card with watercolor stamping technique.

I used the free crafty paper from the May issue of Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine to finish it. The word thanks was die cut from black card stock three times and stacked up.
