AAA Birthday Card Challenges #2 – Use Water Colours

Hello there!

Today I have exciting news to shout out! I am joining in the Design Team at AAA Birthday Card Challenges. And I am looking forward to creating birthday projects with these amazing ladies on the team.

AAA Birthday is a monthly challenge for birthday cards. And this month we have the theme – Use Water Colours for you to play along with us.

Here is my contribution for my very first DT project at AAA Birthday:

To start off, I stamped the sunflowers and leaves on watercolor paper with Versa Mark and white embossed. I painted the images with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, splattered gold paint with a brush and stamped the sentiment with black ink. To finish it, I die cut the panel with a stitched wonky rectangle and adhered it to A2 card base with foam tape.

Cards In Envy – The Fruits of Your Labor

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card created for The Fruits of Your Labor challenge at Cards In Envy.

Here is my creation…

Create an A2 card base from red card stock.
Die cut a rectangle from white card stock as the front panel.
Stamp the funny melon with gray ink on the front panel. Color with Copics G00, R20 & C3.
Stamp another funny melon with black ink on white paper. Color with Copics R27, R24, R22, R21, G17, G16, G14 and 100. Die cut the image.
Stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark on red card stock and white embossed. Die cut the sentiment strip.
Layer and adhere all the pieces mentioned above to card base with double sided tape and foam tape.
Decorate with some Nuvo Crystal drops.

CAS Colours & Sketch Challenge #281 – Colours

Hello there!

It’s the 3rd Tuesday of July , we are having a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our monthly hostess, Jeanne, has come up a beautiful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

Create an A2 card base. Stencil the sun ray with spun sugar distress ink
Die cut the waves from vellum paper.
Die cut a circle frame from black white card stock.
Stamp, color and die cut the mermaid and the rock. Here are the Copics I’ve used. Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, YR01; Hair: YG01, YG21, YG23, YH25; Costume: R02, RV21, RV23, BG32, BG34, BG45, BG49; Rock: C5, C3, C1, C1.
Layer all the pieces mentioned above with foam tape and double sided tape on card base.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #280 – Sketch

Hello there!

It’s Tuesday again and there is a new sketch challenge at CC&S.

This week our hostess, Jeanne, has come up with an unique sketch to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CAS Colours & Sketches).

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

Create an A2 card base from white card stock. Apply Distress inks with mini ink blending tools to create the background. (the cloud edges: tumble glass; the ocean: salty ocean; the beach: tea dye)
Trim a piece of white card stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. Die cut an Arch and make the negative piece with an arch window as the front panel.
Stamp, color & die cut images.
Arrange and layer allthe pieces mentioned above on A2 card base with foam tape and double sided tape.
