FRIEND…

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card inspired by the sketch from My Favorite Things (tap the figure to see the details).

Here is how I’ve created…

1. Create a side folded A2 card base from Sour Apple card stock.
2. Stamp, color and die cut the cuties.
3. Die cut the word “FRIEND” two times from white card stock and once from Blu Raspberry card stock.
4. Stack up the letters, line up and adhere the letters to card base.
5. Arrange the cuties and stick to the card base above FRIEND with foam tape.
6. Stamp the sentiment and add some Nuvo Crystal drops.

Today I am sharing a card following the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

The idea of the scene comes from My family. My hubby is a wonderful conductor to my girls and me.🤣🤣🤣

Here is how I’ve created…

1. Create a side folded A2 card base.
2. Stamp, color and die cut the birds.
3. Die cut the tree from white card stock and apply Distress Oxide inks.
4. Adhere the images to A2 card base and stamp the sentiment.

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card with cross stitching and I really enjoyed the process. I’ve found some cross-stitched patterns and I decided to made cards with them.

Here is how I’ve created…

1. Create an A2 card base from light green card stock and stamp the sentiment.
2. Die cut the cross-stitched tag from white card stock and stitch the clover with white and green strings.
3. Cut off the top portion of the cross-stitched tag.
4. Trim a rectangle from dark green card stock.
5. Layer all the pieces on A2 card base with double sided tape.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #261 – Sketch

Hello there!

I can’t believe it’s the last week in February and I only published four cards for CC&S on my blog. It’s an extremely busy month for me due to the celebration of Lunar New Year. The traditional celebration usually ends on the Lantern Festive which in on this Friday, then I can stay at my favorite crafty room longer.

This week our hostess, Patricia, has come up with a wonderful sketch to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CAS Colours & Sketches).

I decided to create a card with the cheery blossoms and a lantern to celebrate the Lantern Festive.

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

1. Create a top-folded A2 card base and stamp the sentiment on the left corner .
2. Die cut the classic window frame from white card stock.
3. Stamp, color and die cut the cherry blossoms and the lantern.
4. Layer and adhere the images on A2 card base.

Today I am sharing a single layer card following the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

I tried to add movement by stamping the image several times in lighter shade and using masking technique.

I colored the images with Copic markers: 100, C7, C5, C3, C1; R29, R27, R24, R22, R20; E02, E01, E00, E000, E50.

I seldom created one layer card because I am not good at  fussy cutting. For joining the challenge at Less is More, I did try to create a single layer card few days ago. But I forgot the rules at LIM, the one I created will be disqualified. I think it is nice to tell a participant that I’ve broken the rules in the comment. Then I can fix my entry for the next time and make it better!

Happily Ever After…

Hello there!

It’s really hard to get my mojo back after a holiday break. I’ve stared at my new goodies and tried to make something new for a few days, but nothing happened!

And I finally created a card with a new stamp set. It’s for girl, Sara who was an excellent student when I taught Chemistry at high school. She is going to get married and I want to send greetings for her new life with Terry. For creating this card, I bought several stamp sets and I really adore this one a lot.

1. The front panel was die cut from white card stock with Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.
2. The words “Terry & Sara” were printed on the front panel.
3. The images were stamped with black ink & were colored with Copic markers.
4. Then the sentiment was stamped with black ink at the bottom of the images.
