CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #265 – Sketch

Hello there!

It’s the last Tuesday of March and there is a new sketch challenge at CC&S.

This week our hostess, Fiona, has come up with a wonderful sketch to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CAS Colours & Sketches).

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create an A2 card base from white card stock and die cut a Wonky Stitched Rectangle from Kraft card stock as the front panel.
  2. Die cut a fishtail banner from Coral Crush card stock and a square from Cement Gray card stock.
  3. Die cut Sensational Stitched flowers from white, Peach Bellini card stocks.
  4. Die cut leaves from Blu Breeze card stock.
  5. Stamp the words with Versa Mark on black card stock and white embossed. Trim the words to labels.
  6. Arrange, layer and adhere the pieces to the front panel on A2 card base.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #264

Hello there!

It’s the third Tuesday of March, we are having a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our monthly hostess, Fiona, has come up a beautiful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

I decided to create an Easter card with cross stitching.

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create an A2 card base. Stamp the word “HAPPY", die cut the pop-up word and apply Carved Pumpkin Distress ink on the word “EASTER".
  2. Die cut the cross-stitched tag from white card stock and stitch three bunnies.
  3. Cut off the top portion of tag.
  4. Trim a piece of rose red paper bigger than the stitched paper.
  5. Layer the two pieces with foam tape and double sided tape on A2 card base.

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create a top-folded A2 card base and apply Distress inks on the corners .
  2. Trim a piece of card stock to A2 size and die cut the corners with a circle die as the front panel.
  3. Stamp, color and die cut the images.
  4. Arrange, layer and adhere the images and thefront panel on A2 card base.

CAS Colours and Sketches #262 – Colours

Hello there!

It’s the first Tuesday of March, we are having a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Our monthly hostess, Fiona, has come up a beautiful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

I’ve considered what images I should used for the colors for a few days, but still have no ideas. I asked for some thoughts from my hubby, then he pointed to the striped bed sheet with these colors. I think I have an idea from my hubby and Jennifer Mcquire.

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create an A2 card base and an A2 size paper with double sided tape.
  2. Trim the colored paper to stripes with different width.
  3. Adhere the colored stripes to the A2 size paper and trim it to a rectangle.
  4. Die cut HELLO from the striped rectangle and white card stock.
  5. Adhere HELLO from white card stock to the striped rectangle and add some clear droplets.
  6. Layer the striped rectangle with foam tape on A2 card base.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #261 – Sketch

Hello there!

I can’t believe it’s the last week in February and I only published four cards for CC&S on my blog. It’s an extremely busy month for me due to the celebration of Lunar New Year. The traditional celebration usually ends on the Lantern Festive which in on this Friday, then I can stay at my favorite crafty room longer.

This week our hostess, Patricia, has come up with a wonderful sketch to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CAS Colours & Sketches).

I decided to create a card with the cheery blossoms and a lantern to celebrate the Lantern Festive.

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create a top-folded A2 card base and stamp the sentiment on the left corner .
  2. Die cut the classic window frame from white card stock.
  3. Stamp, color and die cut the cherry blossoms and the lantern.
  4. Layer and adhere the images on A2 card base.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #260 – Colours

Hello there!

We were celebrating Lunar New Year last weekend and I have been busy preparing the celebration for two weeks. So…I have been far away from my crafty room for weeks! I am so glad to be back!

It’s the third Tuesday in February, we are having a new color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

This week our hostess, Patricia, has come up a beautiful color combination of spring to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

I decide to create a birthday card for my hubby’s students.

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create a top-fold A2 card base and adhere the black stripes patterned paper on the bottom.
  2. Stamp, color and die cut the monsters.
  3. Arrange and layer the monsters with double sided tapes and foam tapes on the card base.
  4. Adhere doodles eyes on the monster in front.

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create a top-fold A2 card base.
  2. Die cut the stitched lines on A2 card base and stamp the sentiment with black ink.
  3. Die cut a Cross-Stitched tag from blue card stock.
  4. Stitch the image with red, green and pink thread.
  5. Adhere the tag on A2 card base with foam tape.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #258 – Colours

Hello there!

It’s February, and my DT duty at CAS Colours & Sketches has stepped into the 2nd month.

This week our hostess, Patricia, has come up a beautiful color combination to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

I decide to create a Valentine’s card for my hubby. We met each other when I taught Chemistry at high school, and he taught Physics. I adore the Undeniable Chemistry stamp set from MFT, and I did created cards with it for my hubby for years.

Here is how I’ve used the color combo…

  1. Create a top-fold A2 card base. Blend Distress tattered rose ink and stamp the sentiment with black ink on the card base.
  2. Die cut the beakers from watercolor paper. Blend Distress mowed lawn and picked raspberry inks on the beakers. 
  3. Add water with paint brush and glossy accent on the blended beakers to add bubbles.
  4. Die cut the tube from silver sparkle card stock.
  5. Arrange and layer the beakers and tube on A2 card base with foam tapes and fluid glue.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #257 – The Double

Hello there!

Since it’s the fifth week in January, we are having the double challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

This week our hostess, Beverley, has chosen a previous CC&S sketch and some retired Stampin’ Up! colors to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch and the color combo…

  1. Create a top-fold A2 card base.
  2. Die cut a Stitched Rectangle from Green Watercolor patterned paper, stamp the sentiment on the botton and adhere to the card base.
  3. Die cut a Stitched Heart from Roses All Over patterned paper.
  4. Die cut the solid and lace butterfly from white card stock. Color the solid butterfly with Copic markers. Layer the lace butterfly with foam tape on the solid one.
  5. Arrange and layer the heart and butterfly on A2 card base.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #256 – Sketch

Hello there!

Since it’s the fourth week of the month, we are having a sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

This week our hostess, Beverley, has come up with a fun sketch to inspire us. (tap the figure below for the details at CC&S)

Here is how I’ve used the sketch…

  1. Create a top-fold A2 card base.
  2. Die cut a Wonky Stitched Rectangle from Blu-Raspberry card stock as the front panel, then adhere to the card base.
  3. Die cut a circle from watercolor paper. Blend Tumble Glass Distress ink with Mini Cloud Stencil on the circle and adhere to the front panel.
  4. Die cut the grassy hills from green card stock & blend Mowed Lawn Distress ink on the edge.
  5. Stamp, color and die cut the sheep and cloud. 
  6. Layer all the images and grassy hills on the stenciled circle.
  7. Die cut a scallop circle frame from white card stock and frame the scene.
  8. Decorate with a heart between the sheep.
